IS Series: Networked Video Security Communication

Component List
IS-CCU
The IS-CCU allows a connection of four door / sub stations and four master stations. It features inputs for up to two IS-SCU, four IS-RCU, and one IS-IPC to expand the system using CAT-5e/6 cable. The IS-CCU has four public address outputs, eight contact outputs, two video BNC outputs, four contact inputs and two chime inputs each with individual volume control. A PC is required to set up the system and is set up via browser. The unit can be rack mounted to an EIA standard rack (2U required) or wall mount using brackets. It is powered using an external 48V DC power supply, IS-PU-UL.
IS-IPC
The IS-IPC connects the IS-CCU and all of its wired components to a network. One IS-IPC is required for every IS-CCU and is wired using three CAT-5e/6 cables. Up to eight IS-IPC's may be using in a fully networked system. The unit can be rack mounted in an EIA standard rack (2U required) or wall mounted using brackets. It is powered using an external 48V DC power supply, IS-PU-UL. IS-IPC is required for a PBX connection.
IS-RCU
The IS-RCU homeruns to the IS-CCU to add thirty room stations to the system. Up to four IS-RCU's may be connected to the IS-CCU using two CAT-5e/6 cables. The unit can be rack mounted in an EIA standard rack (2U required) or wall mount using brackets. It is powered using an external 48V DC power supply, IS-PU-UL.
IS-SCU
The IS-SCU homeruns to the IS-CCU to add eight door / sub stations and eight master stations to the system. Up to two IS-SCU's may be connected to the IS-CCU using three CAT-5e/6 cables. The unit can be rack mounted in an EIA standard rack (2U required) or wall mount using brackets. It is powered using an external 48V DC power supply, IS-PU-UL.
IS-IPMV
The IS-IPMV is an IP addressable video master station with a 3.5" color LCD monitor. It can be wall or desk mounted (desk stand included). The IS-IPMV offers handset (duplex) and hands-free (VOX/PTT) communication and can page up to 5 zones simultaneously. It connects directly to a network using CAT-5e/6 cable and can communicate with any IS-IPDV / IS-IPDVF / IS-SOFT or any station connected ton an IS-IPC on a network. This station utilizes 802.3af compliant power-over-ethernet, or an external 24V DC power supply, PS-2420UL.
IS-MV
The IS-MV is a video master station with a 3.5" color LCD monitor. It can be wall or desk mounted (desk stand included). The IS-MV offers handset (duplex) and hands-free (VOX/PTT) communication and can page up to 5 zones simultaneously. It connects to the IS-CCU or IS-SCU using CAT-5e/6 cable and is powered by the system.
IS-SOFT
The IS-SOFT is proprietary Aiphone software that can be installed on a PC running Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 (one seat license per PC). The PC with the installed IS-SOFT software may connect directly to a network allowing for communication with any IS-IPDV, IS-IPDVF, IS-IPMV, or any station connected to an IS-IPC on a network.
IS-DV
The IS-DV is an aluminum die cast, surface mount video door station and is both vandal and weather resistant. It connects to the IS-CCU or IS-SCU using CAT-5e/6 cable. There is a dry contact for door release. The IS-DV is powered by the system.
IS-DVF
The IS-DVF is a stainless steel, flush mount video door station and is both vandal and weather resistant. It connects to the IS-CCU or IS-SCU using CAT-5e/6 cable. There is a dry contact for door release. The IS-DVF is powered by the system.
IS-DVF-2RA
The IS-DVF-2RA is a stainless steel flush mount video door station with standard and emergency call buttons. The unit is equipped with ADA compliant lettering and Braille signage for both the standard and emergency call buttons. A call status indicator is included to meet ADA rescue assistance requirements. The emergency button will trigger two programmable relay outputs for activation of external systems or devices.The built-in camera provides a 170° viewing angle, and can be adjusted digitally for pan, tilt, and zoom views of the entry area. A directory strip for location identification is also provided. The unit is made of stainless steel and includes tamper resistant screws. The IS-DVF-2RA is a video door station compatible with the IS series communication system. Wiring is CAT-5e or CAT-6 to the designated exchange unit (IS-CCU or IS-SCU).
IS-DVF-HID
The IS-DVF-HID is a video door station for the IS system, with a built in HID® ProxPoint® Plus card reader. The video door station can be connected via CAT-5e/CAT-6 wire to the following IS exchange units: IS-CCU, IS-SCU. Maximum distance from the door station to the exchange unit is 980'. Wiring and power for the card reader are separate from the intercom wiring. The card reader is to be connected to a host controller of any type that is compatible with the HID® ProxPoint® Plus proximity card reader.
IS-DVF-HID-I
The IS-DVF-HID-I is a video door station for the IS system, with a built-in HID® iCLASS card reader. The video door station can be connected via CAT-5e/CAT-6 wire to the following IS exchange units: IS-CCU, IS-SCU. Maximum distance from the door station to the exchange unit is 980'. Wiring and power for the card reader are separate from the intercom wiring. The card reader is to be connected to a host controller of any type that is compatible with the HID® iCLASS R10 (Rev. C) smart card reader.
IS-IPDV
The IS-IPDV is an IP addressable aluminum die cast, surface mount video door station and is both vandal and weather resistant. It connects directly to a network using CAT-5e/6 cable and can communicate with any master station connected to an IS-IPC, any IS-IPMV or any IS-SOFT on a network. There is a dry contact for door release. This station utilizes 802.3af-compliant power-over-ethernet, or an external 24V DC power supply, PS-2420UL.
IS-IPDVF
The IS-IPDVF is an IP addressable stainless steel, flush mount video door station and is both vandal and weather resistant. It connects directly to a network using CAT-5e/6 cable and can communicate with any master station connected to an IS-IPC, any IS-IP-MV, or any IS-SOFT on a network. IS-RS
The IS-RS is a handset style, wall mount, audio only sub station. It connects to the IS-CCU, IS-SCU, or IS-RCU units using CAT-5e/6 cable. It can be used hands-free with the internal speaker or can be tied to an external 8 ohm speaker. The IS-RS is powered by the system.
IS-SS
The IS-SS is a stainless steel, flush mount audio only door station and is both vandal and weather resistant. It connects to the IS-CCU, IS-SCU, or IS-RCU using CAT-5e/6 cable. There is a dry contact for door release. The IS-SS is powered by the system.
IS-SS-2G
The IS-SS-2G is a 2-gang, stainless steel, flush mount, audio only door station for use with the IS system. It is vandal and weather resistant and connects to the IS-CCU, IS-SCU, or IS-RCU using CAT-5e/6 cable. The unit has a built-in dry contact for door release (24V AC/DC, 500mA). There is also a contact input on the station that can be used for connecting to a secondary call button. Power for the IS-SS-2G is provided by the exchange unit through the wire.
IS-SS-2RA
The IS-SS-2RA is a stainless steel flush mount audio door station with standard and emergency call buttons. The unit is equipped with ADA compliant lettering and Braille signage for both the standard and emergency call buttons. A call status indicator is included to meet ADA rescue assistance requirements. The emergency button will trigger two selectable relay outputs for activation of external systems or devices.This unit is equipped with a CCTV camera input for integration of a separate camera for viewing the area where the unit is located. The camera will come on when a call is placed from the unit, or when called by the master station. A directory strip for location identification is also provided. The unit is made of stainless steel and includes tamper resistant screws. The IS-SS-2RA is compatible with the IS series communication system. Wiring is CAT-5e or CAT-6 to the designated exchange unit (IS-CCU, IS-SCU).

The associated camera will come on when a call is placed from the unit, or when called by the master station. A call status indicator will light when the station is in communication with a master station. The unit is made of stainless steel and includes tamper resistant screws. The IS-SS-CI is compatible with the IS series communication system. Wiring is CAT-5e or CAT-6 to the designated exchange unit (IS-CCU, IS-SCU).

IS-Towers
The modular towers for housing the IS remote stations are designed to suit a variety of application needs for assistance and emergency call stations. Used in areas such as campuses, parking garages, malls or courtyards, these towers can be customized by size, color, configuration, and signage. Compatible with the IS-DVF-2RA, IS-SS-2RA, IS-SS-RA, and IS-SS-CI stations.
IS-HTR
The IS-HTR is a heater plate compatible with all IS series door stations (except IS-SS-2G). This heater will allow you to use the IS door stations in environments with extreme cold temperatures (-40°F/C). The IS-HTR will mount to the back of the door station using the existing mounting hardware.
IS-WBCE & IS-WBCA
The Stainless Steel Wall mount box provides an easy-to-see heavy duty enclosure for an IS Series call station, used for Emergency and Assistance applications. Installed in parking garages, airports, campuses, malls, and a wide variety of locales, these stations provide proper signage and specifications to meet ADA requirements. Beacon is always lit for easy visibility; strobe flashes during emergency call-in. ADA (28 CFR Part 36 section 4.4.1) states that an object must not protrude more than 4" if mounted higher than 27". Since these units have the potential to include a camera, mounting height restrictions are avoided with this streamline design, while call button mounting height guidelines can still be met. Any Aiphone IS-RA series station can fit into the wall mount box. Signage and strobe cover configuration is selectable by the customer.

The SBX-ISDVFP is an 18-Guage stainless steel enclosure designed for surface mounting the IS door stations with built in card reader. Compatible with the IS-IPDVF-HID,IS-DVF-HID, IS-DVF-HID-I, IS-SS-HID, IS-SS-HID-I, and IS-IP4DVF.
IS-IPRY8
IP programmable relay adaptor with 4 contact inputs and 4 relay outputs (compatible with IS-IPDV/F, IS-IP4DVF, and IS-IPMV only).
SBX-ISDVFRA
The SBX-ISDVFRA is an 18-Guage stainless steel enclosure designed for surface mounting the IS rescue assistance subs. Compatible with the IS-DVF-2RA, IS-SS-2RA, IS-SS-RA, and IS-SS-CI.
IS-PU-UL
The IS-PU-UL is a 48V DC, 2A, UL listed power supply. One IS-PU-UL is required for every one IS-CCU, IS-SCU, IS-RCU, and IS-IPC in the system.
IS-RACK
Rack Mount Tray for up to 3 IS-PU-UL.
PS-2420UL
The PS-2420UL is a 24V DC, 2 Amp Power Supply. It is UL listed and can be used in both 110V AC and 240V AC environments by changing the AC power cord (110V cord is included with the unit).
