American Institute of Architects class covers perimeter security and communications

Redmond, Wash. – April 29, 2019 – Aiphone, the leading international manufacturer of intercom and security communication products, is offering architects a course describing how intercom systems can improve security and communications on school, university and hospital campuses and at multi-tenant buildings. The course is designed to help architects meet annual continuing education requirements for membership in the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

The one-hour course – Security and Communication with Intercoms – covers the topics of perimeter security, internal and emergency communication and paging announcements to show how and where intercoms and other tools can assist in these areas.

AIA architect members are required to complete 18 learning units (18 hours) of continuing education annually for membership renewal. The Aiphone course counts as one of the six required general learning units related to a range of architectural, construction and engineering issues. As part of its outreach to the architect and engineering community, Aiphone will send its instructors to the offices of any architects, from a single practitioner to a large firm.
