Aiphone’s Glenn Kallai Goes
the Extra Mile for Customers

Glenn Kallai always goes the extra mile for his customers. This is one reason he was named Aiphone’s 2020 Salesperson of the year. The senior sales representative said his greatest job satisfaction comes from meeting the needs of his dealer, integrator, and end-user customers in Arizona, southern Nevada, and Hawaii.

 

“I try to go over and above my customers’ expectations,” he said. “They are used to getting things done. It’s my job to help them get what they need to take advantage of opportunities.”

 

An excellent example of Glenn’s dedication was shared in the company’s announcement of his recent award. An integrator partner was unhappy with inadequate support from a competing intercom manufacturer. The integrator’s customer, a nationwide motor shipping carrier based in Phoenix, was also displeased. Glenn listened to the customer’s needs, identified the issue and quickly developed a solution ­­– the Aiphone IX Series. The integrator suggested a free demo to let the shipping executives see the Aiphone solution firsthand.

 

“I had total confidence in our product and said let’s do a demo at one of the customer’s sites with trucks moving in and out,” Glenn said. “We set it up and it worked perfectly. The sound quality was excellent, and we made the sale. Security officers can now communicate with drivers and open entries to hundreds of sites across the country from a single operations center.”

 

The current COVID-19 pandemic has done nothing to slow Glenn. Early in the days of stay-at-home orders, he recorded a smartphone video and posted it on LinkedIn.

 

“I wanted all my customers to know we are still in business and ready to help them meet their security and communications needs,” he said. “That video brought in a lot of calls from throughout my sales territory.”

 

Glenn said many organizations shut down by the pandemic still have approved projects on the books. Schools prefer to move forward now while campuses are empty rather than wait for the traditional summer break to complete upgrades.

 

“Business is still moving.” he said.

 

Glenn joined Aiphone in 2015 after a career that included firefighting, contracting, and sales positions with other security organizations. He said he appreciates working at Aiphone and selling products with “legendary” reliability. He also enjoys working for a company where employees are treated like family.

 

“Aiphone employs a great group of people,” he said. “I share my salesperson of the year award with the other 52 reps in the U.S. and Canada who consistently give their best for our customers. That’s the way we work.”. Glenn also contributes Aiphone’s longevity and success to the dedicated in-house support teams who go the extra mile.
