Aiphone Becomes a Cisco® Solutions Partner

Following rigorous training of its technicians and support staff, Aiphone has achieved Solutions Partner status with Cisco® Systems, a world leader in networking hardware, telecommunications equipment, and other high technology services and products. Larger users of Aiphone’s IP-based IX Series 2 video intercom and communications platforms often install systems on Cisco networks.

Cisco Solution Partners are recognized for employing some of the industry’s best-trained network technicians and support teams capable of demonstrating expertise in planning, designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco network solutions.  These teams of network technicians are audited annually to ensure that they consistently deliver industry-leading support and maintain the rigorous Cisco standards for network expertise and support capabilities.

“IX Series 2 platform users can have total confidence that our installations and support are in full compliance with Cisco network requirements,” said Paul Hefty, Technical Sales and Support Engineer II, Aiphone. “That applies to the current IX Series 2 and future product generations.”

Utilizing the intercom’s SIP communications technology, IX Series 2 master stations can forward calls to an external phone number. Hefty said that capability, along with the Cisco Solutions Partner status, has enabled Aiphone to work with new customer contacts.

“Previously, we’d work with the security and network teams,” he said. “Now, we’re also talking to an organization’s telephone staff. That’s true as we meet with large school districts, hospital campuses, and corporate enterprise organizations that link multiple sites using a Cisco network.”

To earn the Solutions Partner certification, Aiphone was required to meet or surpass the stringent personnel, training, customer satisfaction, specialization, and post-sales support requirements set forth by Cisco.
