Summary
Constant trouble tone on the master station. All other functions work normally, but trouble tone is always sounding.Cause
Break in the wire to NHR-SP or no jumper in CN-104.Solution
Check wire connection to NHR-SP. If no duty station is used, then make sure that there is a jumper in CN-104 on NHX-80X. (No jumper on CN104 if Duty Station is included. INSTALL jumper if there is no Duty Station connected.)

Some applications for Nurse Call systems require multiple Duty Stations. The call tone sounds and the LED lights on the Duty Stations indicate a call on the system. The drawing below indicates the wiring for up to five Duty Stations on one system. [mkb-warning]The application for more than one Duty Station with the NHX CommuniCare system does not carry the UL 1069 Listing.[/mkb-warning]Wiring Diagram
Notes
- Duty Station #1 is wired directly to NHX-80X.
- Duty Station #2 through #5 can be homerun or daisy-chained from the CCU. The brown wire connects directly to the A+ terminal, with all other wires paralleled.
- The total amount of wire used to connect the NHR-SP's must not exceed 400'. If so, the tone volume level will be affected.
- The TONE OFF button works independently at each Duty Station.
- If the tone volume at the Duty Stations is too low, increase the main volume control on the back of the master station. If more volume is required, an external amplifier may be required. (Contact Technical Support for more information.)
