Secondary Door Release by Speed Dial Button (IX-MV7-*)

Summary

Triggering Relay Output 2 on an IX Series door station from an IX-MV7-* speed dial for secondary door release (gate/mantrap/sally port/vestibule). 

Solution

To enable the second relay on the back of the door station:  

1. Click Station View (top left corner), expand Relay Output on the left-hand menu and select Option Input/Relay Output Settings. 
2. At the top of the screen, use the drop-down to select the station number of the door station to be configured under Select Station to Edit, and click Select. 
3. Use the drop-down menu for Relay Output # to choose Relay Option 2. 
4. Scroll down to Option Relay Control and click Enable.  
5. Click Update at the top of the screen. 

To configure a speed dial button to activate this second relay: 

1. Expand Station Settings and select Speed Dial/Favorites on the left-hand side menu. 
2. At the top of the screen, use the drop-down to select the station number of the master station to be configured under Select Station to Edit, and click Select. 
3. Use the drop-down menu for Speed Dial # to choose an available speed dial. 
4. Scroll down and click the radio button next to Option Relay Control. 
5. Click Open next to Station List and select the door station configured in the above steps and click OK. 
6. Click Update at the top of the screen. 

Recommended Option

1. Expand Function Settings and select Display Mode on the left-hand side menu. 
2. Under Standard Mode change the selected Home Screen to Option 2. 
3.  Click Update at the top of the screen. 

To upload the setting changes to each station, choose File(F) and select Upload Settings to Station.
