Aiphone Solutions are Saving Enterprise Organizations Time and Money

With facilities located across a city, country, and maybe even oceans, enterprise organizations offer their own security challenges.  Each location needs local security, yet corporate officials want to keep a handle on what’s happening throughout the organization.

Aiphone can help with solutions to meet both needs.

For example, a Texas water district operates a remote, unmanned pump station. Aiphone’s IP-based IX Series video intercoms are installed at the stations’ electronic gate. Master stations are located in a nearby regional office and in the district’s security operations center more than 25 miles away. The intercom system lets regional office staff see and speak with visitors before deciding to open the gate. If no one’s available, the call passes to the security operations center (SOC) team.

Before the IX Series was installed, a district employee had to drive to the site and open the gate. The cost in time and travel added up. The Aiphone intercom also eliminates monthly telephone bills as the unit connects directly to the district’s network using CAT-5e/6 cable. Also, an IX Series mobile app lets patrolling security team members monitor and remotely control the pump station gate.

Here’s another example. A small sales office for an international cable manufacturer often has all employees in the field or tied up on phone calls. When a delivery person drops by with a rush shipment for a customer there may be no choice but to leave it at the door. With an IX Series video intercom, security officers located hundreds of miles away can authenticate the visitor, unlock the door, and then watch as he or she leaves.
