1970: The first telephone type intercom with open voice and speaker phone features is introduced to the U.S. market.
1975: The Market Com Paging and Intercom System (MC-3) for retail stores is developed.
1979: The first exchange based microprocessor based intercom systems are developed.
1981: Aiphone Co. Ltd. wins the Deming Prize, the first and only intercom manufacturer to receive this most prestigious award for quality control.
1983: Aiphone Corp. began production of Special Order Products to better satisfy broader customer needs.
1984: The first coaxial cable wired audio/video combination door answering system is introduced.
1985: The first Aiphone multi-unit apartment/condo audio/video security system is developed.
1986: CCD (charged coupled device) chip cameras are used in multi and single unit Aiphone video entry system.
1989: Aiphone develops the first 2-wire audio/video entry system.
1990: Aiphone Co. Ltd. goes public, listed on the Japanese Stock Exchange.
1990: Aiphone develops the first modular audio/video/radio intercom.
1990: Aiphone develops the first microprocessor based apartment video entry system.
1991: Aiphone Corp. is awarded Government Services Administration (GSA) Contract as a recognized supplier to the US government.
1991: Aiphone develops the first multi-directional pan and tilt video entry system.
1992: Aiphone Co. Ltd. joins the Nikkei 1000 (Japan's version of the Fortune 500), which recognizes the best managed, financially sound companies.
1993: Aiphone Co. Ltd. earns ISO 9001 Certification for production quality standards, recognized internationally as a hallmark of quality.
1994: The New MarketCom MC-60/4 Paging System introduced to succeed the MC-3, the most popular paging system in US retail stores.
1995: Aiphone Corporation celebrates its 25th Anniversary in the United States.
1998: The first Aiphone color video entry system is developed.
1999: Aiphone Co. Ltd. receives ISO 14001 Certification.
2000: Aiphone Corporation celebrates its 30th Anniversary in the United States.
2000: Aiphone Corporation receives ISO 9002 certification.
2000: Aiphone expands its line of multiple station color video systems with Tilt camera control.
2002: Aiphone introduces a new multi-unit entry system that utilizes a common wiring scheme.
2003: Aiphone updates MK series B&W series with modernized chassis, higher resolution cameras and monitors.
2003: Aiphone lowers the price of all of its B&W video series to be more competitive in the market.
2004: Aiphone introduces the JB series Open Voice Color Video System.
2004: Aiphone introduces the IM Security Window System.
2005: Aiphone introduces the IP-EWST IP Addressable Intercom Adaptor.
2006: Aiphone introduces the AN-8000 Series: IP Network Intercom System.
2006: Aiphone introduces the GH Series Open Voice, Color Video Multi-Unit Entry System.
2006: Aiphone introduces the AX Series: Integratable Audio/Video Security System.
2007: Aiphone introduces the JF Series: Hands-free Color Video System.
2009: Aiphone introduces the JK Series: Hands-free Color Video with PanTilt & Zoom.
